Settings Explained
📄 Page Size
Auto-fit: PDF dimensions match image dimensions exactly (no cropping, no white space)
A4: Standard international paper (210 × 297 mm). Image is scaled to fit with margins.
Letter: Standard US paper (216 × 279 mm). Image is scaled to fit with margins.
🔄 Orientation
Portrait: Vertical pages (taller than wide)
Landscape: Horizontal pages (wider than tall)
Note: Disabled when using Auto-fit (orientation is auto-detected)
📐 Margin (0-20mm)
What it does: Adds white space around the image on the PDF page.
Recommendation: 10mm for printing, 5mm for screen viewing, 0mm for no margins
Note: Disabled when using Auto-fit
⚡ Quality (50%-100%)
What it does: Controls JPEG compression level when converting PNG to PDF. Higher quality = larger files, lower quality = smaller files.
Default: 85% - Perfect balance between quality and file size
100%: Best quality, minimal compression (larger files)
85%: Excellent quality, 50-80% smaller files (RECOMMENDED)
50%: Smallest files, noticeable quality loss
💡 Tip: For photos, 75-85% is ideal. For text/diagrams, use 90-100%.
🎨 Background Color
What it does: Sets the background color for transparent areas in PNG images.
Default: White (#FFFFFF)
Why it's needed: PDF uses JPEG compression which doesn't support transparency. Transparent pixels are filled with this color.
When to change:
• Use white for documents on white paper
• Use black for dark-mode PDFs
• Match your presentation background color
💡 Tip: If your PNG has no transparency, any color works.
📚 Bulk PDF Mode
Separate PDFs: Each PNG → 1 PDF file. Download all as ZIP.
Single Multi-page PDF: All selected PNGs → 1 PDF with multiple pages. One PDF to download.
Use case: Separate PDFs for individual images, Multi-page PDF for documents/presentations
